Handmade duvet set for Gigi : Stashbusting

I made Gigi a new duvet set for fall. Since I’m still on a fabric diet, I used materials I already had. A sheet from target for the underside of the duvet cover, some cute flannel with a print of little girls I bought at the Black Friday sale at Joann last Thanksgiving, and some blue polka dot flannel that I got for free at the theater. Plus, some black buttons I bought for another project but never used.I dyed an old king sized flannel sheet pink with dye I already had for a dust ruffle. It came out sort of mottled, but it will do for now.

I made this little sock monkey for Gigi last year. It’s a little crooked but she doesn’t care.i found a few pairs of unused red toe socks at an estate sale for a dollar.
We found this garland made from kids books in Portland a few years ago. I loved Portland!

I bought these buttons at the cutest fabric store nearby. It’s called Superbuzzy, and they carry a huge variety of Japanese prints and fun little kawaii crafty things. I’ve been staying away lately since I’m on a fabric diet.

And to complete our little vignette, we found a Bambi lamp at the thrift store for only seven dollars. I think it’s the sweetest thing ever.

Gigi loves her new bed!

All in all, I made a pretty good dent in my fabric stash!
