Fitness Friday | Top Motivational Workout Songs

I don’t know about you but I have tons of different playlists I like to listen to while working out. Gospel, Michael Jackson, old school, new school, ratchet, rap, soul…whatever! It all depends on my mood and how long I want to work out. Most of my playlists are around an hour – that way if I’m outside or trying to avoid watching the clock, I have a gauge for how long I’ve exercised. My only requirement is that the song is upbeat to help me keep my heart rate up. Here is a compilation of some of my favorite motivational workout songs, giving you a little taste from a few genres.

Now, if you don’t know what new jack swing is…or if half the old school songs sailed right over your head, don’t make me feel old by saying so! Ask your mama, older sibling or friends about how hard some of these songs go! I’m telling you, anytime the beat drops for Push It! or hear T-Boz singing “Ohhhhhhhh!” in the opening of What About Your Friends? it immediately makes me wanna move, drop sumn, twerk sumn, whatever! lol! Tell me I’m not alone?
