Skincare: pürminerals start now skincare edition kit review

I've been rather impressed with the pürminerals makeup I've tried in the past, but until now I'd not really paid any attention to the fact that they also do skin care! Well, what better place to start discovering that side of the range than with the four piece Start Now skincare edition kit?!
Interestingly the kit is aimed at all skin types and contains products targeted to improve the look and feel of the skin for an overall more perfect complexion. The products are all minis between 15 and 30ml each, so a great size for giving them a try and also for travel.
Included in the line up we have Miracle Mist which is a spray mist to hydrate the skin and also to set makeup. Simplicity is an SLS free cleanser for removing makeup and purifying the skin and Soak It Up is an oil free intensive moisturiser. Finally in the kit you also have Dirty Girl (great name!) - a detoxifying clay masque to unclog pores.

As these are all mini sizes they lasted me just over two weeks, other than for the masque, so I'm not able to test the claims Pürminerals make about the results people saw in an eight week clinical trial, although they sound pretty impressive. The majority of testers found their skin had a softer and smoother texture, increased hydration and noticed more vibrancy and radiance in their skin.
However, I really enjoyed using all of the products. The cleanser gave me a really good clean even with a tiny amount of product and removed all traces of foundation. Although it struggled with waterproof eye liner. The moisturiser is a really good match for my combination skin, so I can see why it states it's suitable for all skin types. I struggle to find something that addresses both my dry and oily patches, so I'd consider buying this on in full size.
I love facial mists and in the summer love to have one on hand to refresh when I'm at home and it's really hot. I also love makeup setting sprays and always use one as a last step in my makeup routine. I was unsure as to which category the miracle mist would fall into for me as the description states it can be used both to hydrate and refresh the skin as well as to set makeup. I've found it doesn't work well for me to set makeup as the spray is far too direct! Possibly I have a dodgy bottle, but it's a bit like squirting myself in the face with a water pistol at close range. If I hold the spray as far away as my arm will allow I get more of a dispersed spritz - great for a refreshing perk me up on bare skin, but too much for over my makeup in my opinion.
Lastly the dirty girl masque is another winner in this kit. It dries really quickly on the skin and really works to draw out impurities leaving me with slightly clearer, smoother skin and less obvious pores. This is another product which I'll look to get in the full size and it really does what it says on the tube!
The pürminerals get started skincare edition kit is available from marks and spencer stores and some of the pürminerals skin care is also available on their website.
