Fashion: Secret Places by Louis Vuitton

La Maison Famille de Louis Vuitton
As promised, here is the 2nd part of my Louis Vuitton Secret Places visit were I accompanied Tiany Kiriloff as a photographer. I remember getting up in the wee hours of the morning as the trains decided to hold a strike that day, but feeling so much excitement easily made me awake instantly. Upon arriving at La Maison Famille de Louis Vuitton, where their ateliers are held since 1859, we were offered some coffee and of course French Croissants. Every little detail was thought of but who would expect anything else from such a great brand.

After chatting and eyeing the gorgeous Art Nouveau-styled living room in awe, we got a tour. Starting with the history of the maison. As many of you know it all started with the traveling trunks. As other manufacturers kept copying their style, George Vuitton (the son) came up with the famous LV monogram print. A legacy was born! After the archives we were led into to workshop were they manufacture all the special orders. Remember those exotic printed bags I've been eyeing? Well they make those here! Also those beautiful AW14 Petit Malle's, which is definitely the most gorgeous it-bag of this season. Is it my birthday yet? Anyone fancy giving me one as present?

I stood in awe of all the delicacy which goes into the crafting of a piece, almost everything is still done by hand and by such detail! It was definitely the highlight of the day for me. We were guided step by step through the process of picking the leather to a finished artwork. The tour ended in the beautiful gardens were I did a little shoot of Tiany's outfit (dress, shoes & handbag are by Louis Vuitton SS14). Well you guys have already seen what came after: a visit to the biggest flagship store on Les Champs-élysees. It definitely was an unforgettable experience, hope I can transfer some of it's magic through my pics.
