{book review} The English Country House by James Peill

i was legitimately pumped when The English Country House by James Peill showed up on my doorstep and was glad to finally have a free morning to dig into it yesterday.

straight downton abbey son.

...so of course i love. these homes also remind me of one of my fav movies, the adaptation of "Wuthering Heights" (with Tom Hardy as Heathcliff, can i get an amen) it's my ultimate dream to one day have an english country house (complete with gypsy caravan on the property)

btw- did you hear about kim and kanye's Downton Abbey replica mansion? wat.

anyway. loved this book. while it's different from my own decorating style, i'm a huge anglophile and loved spending a morning flipping through this book over coffee, checking out the interiors and reading the history of ten different homes. all gorgeous, but Milton in Cambridgeshire was beyond.

this book is full of great history and amazing photography by James Fennell. i don't even have the best pics here, so definitely check this out if you're into english country style/ are an anglophile like me and Yeezy.
