Macadamia Flawless Cleansing Conditioner Review

Macadamia Natural Oil are one of my favourite hair care brands. Their products do what they say on the bottle and they look great on my bathroom countertop and that's why I love them.
The latest product from Macadamia that I've been trying out is their Flawless Cleansing Conditioner which is a 6 in 1 wonder product that is the first of its kind. Like most Macadamia products, Flawless is infused with a combination of Macadamia Nut Oil and Argan Oil which works together Omega 3, 5 and 7 as well as your hairs own natural oils to renew dry, damaged and colour treated hair regardless of the texture. I have very oily roots but dry ends and I do get lowlights and highlights in my hair so this 6 in 1 hero product seemed perfect for me.
You might be wondering what six things one product could possibly do. Well, Flawless is designed to have six main benefits and these are; cleansing, conditioning, detangling, volume enhancing, frizz eliminating and reducing blow dry time by up to 50%. Those are some huge claims which is one of the main reasons as to why I wanted to try this product out to see if it lived up to them.
I have used Flawless several times now, in fact I've nearly used it all up, and I have to say that I do think it lives up to its claims. The great thing about Flawless is that you use it in place of a regular shampoo and conditioner making it a fuss free, quick and easy product to use, plus it is fabulous for travelling.

Macadamia Flawless Cleansing Conditioner*
To use it, I wet my hair as usual and then work a small amount through my hair. I really like to take my time massaging it into my scalp and then down to the ends to really ensure it is cleansing my hair. Flawless has a no suds formula but because the texture of the product is like a rich, creamy foam, you can work it into a small lather and it is really soft and easy to work through the hair when it is wet. Once applied, I leave it in my hair for about 5 minutes as I feel as though the conditioning element of the product is most effective that way. Then I wash it off. The product rinses freely from the hair with minimal effort which is great if you're somewhere that doesn't have a power shower. I've used products in the past that have been an absolute nightmare to remove but this isn't one of them.
After washing out Flawless, my hair is always noticeably easier to comb through which I love as I feel as though it is preventing my hair from becoming damaged. When wet, my hair feels super soft and silky after using this product and I either leave it there, towel dry my hair and then let it dry naturally which leaves my hair feeling super soft or I blow dry my hair.
If I blow dry my hair using Flawless, I do find that my hair dries more quickly than when I don't use it. I haven't a clue how it does this but it is pretty cool! I'm not sure if it reduces my drying time in half but it does make a difference, most significantly so when I have my Great Lengths hair extensions (review here) in as my hair dries pretty quickly without them in anyway.

After blow drying, my hair looks and feels clean which is surprising given that I haven't used a traditional shampoo when using Flawless. I thought that a cleansing conditioner wouldn't get my hair clean and that it would just nourish it but this one actually does both. The ends of my hair where I usually get the most frizz are significantly smoothed down after using Flawless and I find that if I tie my hair up for bed, the next day my ends are still frizz free which I don't usually find with shampoos and conditioners. I do think that blow drying my hair with a round brush helps to keep it smooth and frizz free here but the conditioning element of Flawless really gives my hair that silky smooth appearance.
Another thing to mention about Flawless is that it does help to create some volume in my hair. If I don't blow dry my hair then I do feel like I still have some body through the mid lengths but if I blow dry it with a round brush, which adds volume in itself, I find that my hair looks more voluminous than it would had I not used Flawless. In order to keep the volume in my hair, I use a quick spray of a light weight hair spray like the Macadamia Control hairspray (review here) that I've just ran out of, boo.
Overall, I find that Flawless really helps to make my hair feel nourished and soft without making it overly oily or feel weighed down. I love the smell of it which is just like the other Macadamia products and while I'm not ready to completely abandon my shampoo and conditioner duos for good, I would definitely buy Flawless to take on holiday with me as it makes my hair feel and look great and it will help to save some much needed space in my suitcase!

The Macadamia Flawless 6 in 1 Cleansing Conditioner is available to buy from Look Fantastic for a discounted price or from Feel Unique, Beauty Expert and The Hut and HQ Hair. There's a 90ml size like the one I have here which is perfect for travelling and a huge 250ml size that you could keep at home in your shower.
