Step Reebok in Style With Cardio Ultra

Hello!

Um, not to talk too much about random stuff, but oh man am I glad I turned left instead of right at the race this past weekend. (The recap of the whole event is here.)

Here’s why.

I’m totally sick. I guess sitting in close proximity in planes, life stress and being cold for a very long amount of time outside for the race caught up with me.

I’d rather it happen now though rather than last week or a week from now, so hey, bring it on I guess. I rarely get sick so I’ll do my best to take it like a champ.

Moving on.

Let’s talk fun stuff. Like some cool signs. This may have been one of my favorite ones from Vegas. It wasn’t all bright and shiny on the strip, but I really like what it had to say.

Right? I mean, how cool would it be if all Starbucks were open 24 hours? Ha.

Back at the home front this sign is causing a bit of a stir.

The new bunk bed that the boys have has a little desk that’s been getting a lot of use and this guy decided to sit at it to make his own sign. Can you tell what it means? I’m sure you can, but I’ll just tell you what he told me just in case.

“This means that Joaquin is not allowed in my bed.”

Pretty darn funny. Even funnier that you can see Joaquin on his bed right there in the background. Even funnier that the sign is currently on the wall right by the bed held up with tape.

Okay, moving on.

I was sent a pair of Reebok Women Studio Cardio Ultra Shoes to review.

I was also sent a matching outfit to sport along with the shoes.

Here’s how the workout outfit looks on the model.

I wore the shoes and the whole outfit Monday night to teach my classes at the gym, but I had to wear the top a little differently that she did. Ha ha.

I’ve got to cover things up you know. These were pictures taken after my two classes actually, so let’s backtrack a bit.

The shoes and the outfit was really comfortable.

I especially like the cool stripe on only one leg and the mesh at the bottom of the pants. I have to say I felt pretty stylish.

Things that stood out right away about the shoes were the bright yellow color and the nifty turnzone on the bottom.

I was really curious how they’d do in the studio with some high intensity plyometric moves.

I must say, I’m pretty picky about what shoes I wear when I’m jumping all about teaching HIIT classes and these shoes worked really well.

I’m always telling people in my classes that when we’re doing side to side plyometric moves and everything that the best shoes to wear are cross training specific shoes that have that extra lateral support running shoes don’t always give you.

The concept behind this shoe is that it’s the one and only gym shoe a woman needs.

These shoes were specifically designed to be high-impact studio shoes that have an enhanced medial arch support and a wider base to insure more ground contact, more mobility, and more cushioning where it counts.

PRODUCT FEATURES AND BENEFITS:

Adaptamove- upper naturally cradles the foot, perfectly supporting multidirectional movements

Turnzone- integrated into the outsole and is designed to allow the foot to turn freely in 360 degrees

Trifoam-this forefoot cushioning perfectly absorbs impact and provides rebound needed between moves

I have only worn these shoes a couple of times and only worn them in the studio as opposed to outside, but they’re specifically meant for the studio so I doubt I’ll be doing any outdoor boot camp teaching in them. I can feel the extra support for multidirectional movements and it was particularly easy to pivot on the the floor and be able to move my feet quickly.

They provide just enough cushion and are more supportive than the lower, flatter nanos I wear a lot. I like the feel of the extra support and cushion.

I also wore them for a little step aerobics teaching action.

I love teaching step aerobics in Reebok shoes. That’s where it all started way back in the early 90′s, right? You better believe I asked for a step for Christmas back in the day so I could get my groove on in the family room at home (and later in my dorm room in college with my roommates). I know I can’t be the only one who did that.

Who else remembers this?

Ha ha ha.

You can get more product feature and specifics on the Cardio Ultra shoes here on the website. They have not officially been released yet, but will be coming out soon.
