What I’ve Been Eating Wednesday and the New Vega One

I’m not going to pretend that the 4:30 am wake up is fun, but having the run done first thing before the day actually starts is so worth it.

My leg really looks weird in that picture. Hence the whole trying to blur it. Ha. Nothing to hide friends. Not these days.

This morning’s run was 8 treadmill miles at an 8:00 pace. Nothing exciting, just getting it done and my legs were tired from yesterday.

I’m loving the Wave Inspire 11 shoes. They remind me more of the 9’s than the 10’s and I know a lot of runners really loved the 9’s (myself included). Someone asked how they compare to the Wave Rider 18 shoes and I haven’t spent enough time in the Riders to really be able to give specifics, but the Inspires are for people who need a little more stability and have flatter feet, etc. They give just enough stability and cushion without being heavy.

Today was a much better day than Monday. Thank goodness. That’s the thing about bad days, right? They make the good days just that much better.

I hit my 15,000 step goal with the Fitbit Blogger Challenge today. Woot!

This afternoon was darn great. We all are getting used to each other around here.

Gosh I love these darn kitties so much already and so do they boys. It’s so fun watching them all together.

Among the things we did today, we even found time to bake STUFT Cho Muffins.

I haven’t been taking as many food pictures lately and don’t plan on taking a lot anytime soon, but I will throw the random things I have taken pictures of your way today.

My breakfast was all over the place this morning.

I couldn’t decide what to have to I did a STUFT egg-rito, a goat cheese cream cheese and spicy jalapeño jam sandwich and an apple. It was a good mix if random food.

The other day I got all crazy and took my salad bowl bag to a plate.

Living it up with a chicken, gat cheese and pomegranate salad with fig balsamic vinegar.

Oh and if you haven’t tried the new S’mores Quest Bars yet, you really need to (just my personal opinion). They are darn fabulous. YOU can get them directly from the Quest Nutrition website for $24.99 a box. I know some people on Instagram were saying they couldn’t find them anywhere.

Dinners have been very random. I did manage to make salsa chicken tonight, but there were no pictures. I’m just too lazy to whip out the camera these days. Ha.

I’m obsessed with pretty much all things Vega. Frequently within minutes of stepping off the treadmill in the morning I’m sucking down my recovery drink.

Well, Vega has just come out with a new and improved version of their new Vega One formula.

New Vega One is still gluten-free and contains no added sugar. As always, it’s been formulated with no dairy or soy ingredients and contains no artificial flavors, colors, or preservatives.

I got that box of goodies the other day and it really didn’t take long for me to get into it.

They bumped up the protein and doubled the greens.

Vega One comes in quite a few flavors and even comes in convenient single serving packets.

I have tried these yet, but I did make a smoothie with the vanilla flavor the other day.

I also decided to just blend a little of the vanilla Vega One with Silk almondmilk

and pour it over cereal.

Brilliant, I know. Ha.

Yeah, the color with the Vega One is a little green because of all the greens they have mixed in there, but I really like the taste too. Especially for everything it has to offer. It’s a great way to add some healthy protein and greens to just about anything. I need to try a scoop in oatmeal next.

I got a magnificent box of produce from Frieda’s the other day too, but haven’t gotten the chance to dig in just yet. Did you know they have Baby Purple Brussels Sprouts? I better roast those up pronto.

If you haven’t entered the Pro Compression GIVEAWAY yet for a pair of the brand new compression tights you have a couple more days to enter.

Have a great night or day if you’re reading this tomorrow morning.

What have you been eating lately?
