Playa Santa Lucia; A Trip To Cuba
A few days ago I decided to head to Cuba. It wasn't really somewhere I had on my travel bucket list but I am so glad I booked a last minute trip. I jumped on a plane and within a few hours I was in 30 degree paradise. I can also now see why people (particularly Canadians) adore Cuba. Naturally, I had to share some of my trip with you...
On our first morning we went horse riding across the beach and around the local area
I absolutely adore horse riding and wish I could do it more regularly at home.
My new dress is from Brandy Melville - a gorgeous USA based brand which we desperately need in the UK.
Sunglasses: C/O
Sunglasses Shop - these ones
here are similar for only £9.00 if you don't want real Ray-Bans.
Dress: Brandy, but I found some gorgeous similar dresses online available internationally
here,

here and more below.

Then it was time to kick back and enjoy the sunshine.
We stayed in Playa Santa Lucia which is just over an hour from Camagüey - one of the largest cities in Cuba.
We spent our evenings watching the sun set by the pool and eating Cuban food.
We woke up bright and early the next morning and jumped on a catamaran...
It took us deep into the ocean
and before we knew it, it was time to jump off and snorkell
We swam like fish for quite some time...
My dream of becoming a real life mermaid almost came true...
After snorkelling, we stopped off at a little hidden beach for some lunch.
We filled up on chicken and vegatables before we headed back to the ocean...
Back on the boat, I decided to play captain for a minute or two...
We sailed away and it was soon time for a steak and lobster dinner at Coco Beach...
We arrived at Coco Beach just in time for sunset.
I wore Brandy Melville again,

and embraced how gorgeous Coco Beach was.
After a little stroll across the beach
Naturally, I went for a mojito
Before we had our steak and lobster dinner, we went for a walk around the local area...
It kind of reminded me of
my time in Vietnam...
This little pup escorted us around...
As the sun set even more, it was time to grab a coconut from a tree and fill it up with some rum...
We took our coconuts to a bonfire and sang 'guantanamera' with a local band.
The following morning was beach day. Whilst the beach wasn't as perfect as the one I visited in
Montego Bay, Jamaica, you can hardly knock it can you? Seaweed aside, I still went for a swim.
Bikini: H&M - I love it but it makes me look totally flat-chested because of the way it pushes your boobs. Similar

I'm pleased to say, my tan is natural.
After reading $50 worth of magazines (I'm well and truly caught up on all things fashion and beauty), it was time for a pool side hot chocolate...
and one last coconut, it was time to say goodbye to paradise.
We ended the trip with a meal at a lovely cuban restaurant.
The wine was flowing and I couldn't help but wear
my new lipliner.
Until next time Cuba, adios.
Have you ever visited Cuba? Do you like Brandy Melville/Have you heard of it? When are you next going away for some sunshine? Lots of love, Em x
