My Thoughts:
I must admit, this is a sort of a hard product to review... Everything this supplement claims to provide are not necessarily things you can just notice by looking or feeling. So to be completely honest I have not noticed anything different since taking this supplement (with the exception of ONE thing, which I will get to in a moment). I did a lot of research on French Pine Bark, though, to see what others were saying about it, and what other benefits it may have. So far everything I have found is all good. One gal takes it in addition to a couple other supplements to help keep her skin clear of acne, another post I found shared a study done on women 55-68 ... "At the end of the study, the women experienced a 44 percent increase in hyaluronic acid production, 25 percent greater skin elasticity, 8 percent better hydration, 3 percent fewer wrinkles and a 6 percent improvement of skin smoothness." And then I also found this post, that really explains all the benefits of Pine Bark Extract and who can benefit most from it... Like smokers, stroke victims, kids with ADD/ADHD and more!
It really sounds amazing, and even though I dont really "feel" different or think I "look" different, I also did not have any bad side effects from taking it at all either. I think its just one of those things that is just good for you to take... Like any other vitamin, which you dont necessarily notice a difference when taking, however you just know its good for you!
Ok, now on to the ONE thing that I noticed was different about me since taking the supplement... My nails. My nails seem to be growing longer and a lot more healthy than they used to. Before taking this supplement, my nails were so brittle, they would barely grow past my finger tip and just start breaking. Now they seem a lot stronger and healthier.... The only thing I can say is I dont know for sure if its because of the French Pine Bark or not. I tried to look and see if there were any studies or testimonials or reviews that included nail growth/heath, but found none. So as far as I know... that's not necessarily shown as a result of taking this supplement, but I know for me.. Nothing else had changed but that. So I'd like to think it is because of the Pine Bark!

My Thoughts:
I have to get this out first and foremost... This product has a scent that I do not like at all! It sort of smells like black licorice, which I dont like to smell of, but its not sweet at all. Some people may not mind it, but I didn't like it. I asked my husband what he thought of the smell and he said it smelled like power bait... Uhh... That's weird.
Anyways, scent aside, I really enjoyed this product. As someone who is out in the sun quite a lot, I know there is some good from sun exposure,I also know how damaging it can be the need for protection! What is great about this product is you can apply it up to 3 times a day (before and especially after sun exposure) you can use it in conjunction with other products! YES you still need to use sun screen, but it definitely helps to keep the skin hydrated and I noticed that it really helped to reduce redness a lot faster than without using it.
I used the body lotion on myself as well as my husband to give it a good test run. I do not burn at all, I just brown. My husband on the other hand DOES burn... Even with applying and re-applying sun screen. So I'd use the lotion on both of us after prolonged sun exposure. I feel like with him, I noticed the biggest difference. As I already mentioned, the redness from his sun burn seemed to fade a lot faster.... And he usually always peels. But he has yet to peel from any sun burn or sun redness he has gotten so far. It really seemed to help his skin recovery!
For me personally, even though I dont "burn" or get red, there are times with prolonged sun exposure my skin can feel very sensitive. Since using this after being in the sun I noticed that I never once felt that skin sensitivity, I used to get before from prolonged sun exposure. So I assume it must be from this wonderful lotion! I also loved that it absorbs into the skin very quickly, and doesn't leave you feeling sticky.
