My Summer Essentials

It won't be long 'til summer is back. I mean, tomorrow's forecast is predicted to be 74 degrees. Our boat is in the shop getting detailed out the yang, get-bikini-ready is in full effect and I'm scouring pinterest for the perfect summer perfectness, ya know what I mean?
However, through the past couple years, I've had a few basics that get me through every single summer. I will commence these things, below.
1. TanTowels. Hands down this is the best self tanner ever. Like, ever ever. I have tried them all. I have been told many times that I look orange. I was even on a website that makes fun of overly-tanned orange-y people. But not anymore! Not only do TanTowels give you a smooth, bronze-y not orange-y glow, but it doesn't smell like cat pee. Win/win in my opin/pin.
2. Vix swim coverup. Hate to say, but splurging on a good coverup is so worth it. Trust a bitch, I have like fifty million Target coverups. And I have fifty million for a reason…they wear and tear and get those ugly little cloth balls all over them. A nice, semi-expensive designer coverup will last, and if you count the wears divided by the price, well, now we're talking like, the Target dollar section.
3. An outdoor blowup water slide. Just not this one. I want it, but it's almost ten grand. So basically not gonna happen. But it's rare Rob and I go out boating without the kids (HA!) so we needs lots and lots of water toys to appease them and keep them entertained so they don't bother us adults. Shoo kids, shoo. Go play in the freeway.
4. Sun Bum sunscreen. I used to be a die hard anti-sunscreen specimen. Not even kidding, I prided myself on not ever wearing the stuff. Until I turned 30. And realized I was stupid. For not wearing sunscreen. Because hello! That said, I still will never ever wear over 30 SFP. It's Paraben and PABA free, water resistant (80 minutes - the highest possible rating) and oil free. It comes in SPF 15, 30, 50 and 70 for you zombies. (I also have Shasta to thank for this amazing find!)
5. Victoria's Secret PINK Sunkissed Luminous Body Bronzer. Makes my TanTowel tanned skin looked amazing. Serious. It doesn't leave my skin greasy or shiny or God forbid, glittery…it just enhances my natural fake tan and makes it better…that glowy dewy look we all want.
