Photography by Miguel Marino Part 1 showed photos of our villa in Oia and the town. I recommend staying in Oia if you want to be more removed from the bustle, and plus, the sun sets over Oia and it's the most stunning nightly show. Part 2 is about the the Santorini Caldera, a large volcanic crater that is mostly submerged, which I'll describe below:
- Our villa was located by stairs built into a cliff that led down to the Caldera, so we hiked down to be near the bluest of waters.
- Birds-eye view from the Castle that overlooked our villa, which is the one on the side of the cliff with the aqua blue swimming pool in the front.
- Within the town of Oia; full outfit post here.
- On our deck overlooking the incredible view - can never get tired of waking up to that!
- We hiked all the way down to the water.
- Lunch of freshly caught fish grilled to order, right next to the clear blue waters.
- The Aegean Sea is the perfect blue ombre.
- Instead of hiking back up, we rode donkeys! It was a jolty ride up the side of a cliff, and Husband was super nervous haha but it was a good experience.
- View of the sunset from our deck.
- We love you, Santorini!
