Arugula Salad

So on Thanksgiving Mom and I made up a salad that ended up being delicious. It was actually one of the best things I ate on thanksgiving. And that includes homemade pie and Pioneer Woman mashed potatoes.
Here's what we did...
Arugula (that my folks grew themselves!) mixed with sliced pears, thinly sliced gruyere, candied pecans, and just a store bought raspberry balsamic dressing. So stinking easy and really yummy.
We made the pecans ourself with THIS recipe - who knew you could make candied nuts in a crock pot - amazingly easy and tasty.
This was an easy salad to put together on quite possibly the busiest cooking day of the year. Hence the store bought dressing. I'm all for making your own dressing, I do it often. But on a holiday? Don't be crazy - just buy a dressing. Save your sanity for goodness sake. And may I suggest the Raspberry Balsamic - it was lovely.

I wish I had taken a better pic, but go well!
