How to Freeze Avocados & More with the Ziploc® Brand Vacuum Sealer System
Freezing foods has always been a goal of mine. I don’t even want to think about how much food this family of six has wasted over the years because I failed at saving my leftovers, or saving my food before it went bad. That’s all about to change, because I was given this opportunity with Vibrant Nation to review their Ziploc® Brand Vacuum Sealer System. I was super excited when I received this big box of goodies a couple of weeks ago. I have been waiting patiently for it to arrive, and when it finally did, it did not disappoint! These are all of the goodies that I was sent to review.
How to Freeze Avocados
I had to start freezing my ripe avocados or I was going to lose them, and that was the perfect opportunity for me to use the Ziploc® Brand Vacuum Sealer System. It made things easy, and there was not a lot of prep involved to get started. I just simply unboxed the system and got my Avocados and vacuum bags ready.
First you will want to take your Avocado and slice it in two. Remove the pit, and then remove the meat of the Avocado from the skin with tablespoon.
Take the meat of the Avocado halves and place them in a Ziploc® Brand Vacuum Bag. You can leave them in halves if you plan on using them soon and are just freezing them because you don’t want them to go bad. If you are freezing them for a longer length of time, you will want to puree the Avocado and add a little lemon juice during the puree process to make sure it is even. You then place the pureed version into a bag to freeze. I eat Avocado a lot, so I am leaving them in halves and freezing them intact.
