Weekend Getaway + Some Realizations.

Just a few more days before my first exam, so I decided to go out of town during the long weekend to relax for a while. I've been a city girl all my life and every time I go to the countryside, I wonder if I could "survive" living there. No malls, no fancy places to eat at, nowhere to go shopping - the things I do and go to here in Auckland can't be found in rural places. But I really do enjoy the atmosphere and vibes that I feel whenever I leave town. Everything seems much more simple, and the opportunities to find out more majestic spots are endless.
These past 2 years, I wasted my money on things that I don't really need, and things that I only needed for a short amount of time. I know it's too early to be making resolutions but my main goal on 2014 is to start saving up for trips around New Zealand. It just hit me that there are SO MANY places here in NZ that I haven't visited yet, and I've been living here for 4.5 years! It's a shame, really, that I spend thousands on clothes that I'll probably give to my mum after wearing it thrice, but couldn't save up for a trip to Queenstown. So I'm changing that, I want to visit NZ's majestic places in person, not just on the internet!
