I started this little Rolex painting a couple of months and completely forgot about it, thought it was time to finish it off!
I'm usually a die-hard Winsor and Newton fan (pallet on the left), but I've been trying some French watercolor paints,
Sennelier Artist Watercolors (smaller pallet at the top of the photo). They aren't the cheapest, but they are vibrant and are mixed with honey which helps the paint stay wet for longer so you can move the colors around and mix on the page more easily (which I haven't really done on this painting).
I find they take a little more mixing to get a consistent, even color but it's worth it. I've also been challenging myself to work with only the primary colors and mix everything else I need from there, to try and teach myself more about color, which has been fun!
