Ribbon Laced Heart | Valentines Day Hairstyle

I can’t believe Valentine’s Day is this Friday. This year is just flying by! I hope you’re not sick of all the many heart hairstyles that are out there, because we’ve got one more for you before the actual holiday! Also, I’ve got to apologize for the pictures in this post. My camera is not behaving and after I uploaded them I realized how grainy they looked. I’m not sure if the girls or my husband have been messing with my settings! Either way, hopefully you get the idea!

For this style you will need a craft needle and some ribbon. Thinner ribbon works best I’ve found.

Here’s the cool look you get from lacing the ribbon as I show in the video. Such a fun look I think!

Step 1 – Part the hair from ear to ear to make a half pony and secure with an elastic

Step 2 – Section out a small amount of hair off the top of the ponytail and clip out of the way

Step 3 – Combine all the remaining hair in back, along with the hair from the half pony

Step 4 – Secure all that hair at the nape of the neck with an elastic

Step 5 – With the small amount of hair held out in Step 2 – divide it in half

Step 6 – Make 2 small micro braids and temporarily secure the ends

Step 7 – Form the micro braids into a heart shape and tack to the head with clips

Step 8 – Add the ends of the braids to the ponytail at the nape of the neck

Step 9 – With craft needle and ribbon lace around the braid to secure it to the hair
