Becky Porter {Babes in Hairland}

Side Swept Double Knots Hairstyle

This pretty style is one we made up on a whim one lazy afternoon when the girls were home from school. It’s quick and best of all it’s easy. The only thing that can add to the time this style takes is if you choose to curl the ends of the hair like we did. It’s meant to be a bit looser and free flowing, but you can tighten it up if you prefer. It can be done to look messy or extra fancy so it’s really versatile. All you need is a comb and 2 elastics & you are ready to do this style. Who doesn’t like that?!

Here’s our short video showing how we do it:

Step 1 – Curl the ends of the hair (optional)

Step 2 – Loosely section out hair at both ears

Step 3 – Draw sections of hair behind the left ear

Step 4 – Make a knot with the hair & secure with an elastic

Step 5 – Flip the knot

Step 6 – Gather remaining hair down in back to the left side of the head

Step 7 – Divide hair in half

Step 8 – Wrap the right section over the left section and then behind it.

By doing that you’ve made a “C” like motion with the right section

Step 9 – Tuck through down through the hole

With the short end of the right piece of hair you wrapped in Step 7, bring it upward and push it down through the “hole” you’ve just made.

Step 10 – Pull the knot tight

Step 11 – Secure the knot with an elastic

FINISHED!
