This dress that I picked up at the beginning of summer – has become a weekend staple in my wardrobe. Too hot to wear an outfit comprised of more than one item? Maxi dress. Too lazy to shave your legs? Maxi dress. A little too chilly for shorts this morning? Maxi dress. Lounging in your unmentionables but need to leave your apartment for a quick coffee run? Throw on that maxi in one swift move and go get caffeinated. If you don’t believe me, Julie posted about her love for thrifted maxis here and then again here. It’s the closest we can get to wearing a mumu without feeling like we’re wearing a mumu.

Next up on the ‘I love you’ list is this purse. I’ve owned/sold many a tooled leather bags in the last few years. Someone please explain to me how I brought myself to sell this 4 years ago? Also how great was this clutch? And people honestly don’t understand how I can hoard vintage. It’s BEAUTIFUL, people. Ok heart palpitations for lost loves aside, this bag pictured above is probably my favorite. It’s not that big, not very special… but it has the most amazing adjustable strap. It’s really just a simple system of snaps on the straps that give it three different length options. But it’s genius. And that detail has put this guy in the keep pile (it’s more of a keep mountain). It definitely doesn’t hurt that the detailing is so great and the condition is nearly perfect.

(Oh hey, look! There's a tooled leather bag in the shop RIGHT NOW)

While we are catching up, I might as well introduce you to that sexy beast up there (no no, not me, the car). This is Matt’s baby; the 1983 rabbit, one year older than his girlfriend, before the time when airbags came standard. He almost didn’t let me sit up on the hood for photos. But he gave in – now that’s love. Purple is my favorite colour – though I don’t really wear purple, ever. So when Matt and I started dating and he told me he had a purple car, it sealed the deal that he should be my boyfriend. Also, didn’t he do a great job on these photos.
