Hello Brooklyn

As the New Jersey Nets transitioned to the Brooklyn Nets, so did I, kinda?
Don't get me wrong, you really can never break a Jersey Girl, but in ways New York has totally changed me. For example, I totally expect cereal to be about $7-8 everywhere, & when I go food shopping in NJ, I really feel like I'm a whole different person coming from a far away planet.

Since I've had ZERO time to actually make it out to the Barclays Center, I can only prance around in beautifully colored Brooklyn Nets gear. As a graphic design major, I freaked out when I saw the new Nets emblem with clean type and bold black and white appeal.
On the likes of Marc Jacobs' runways this past fashion week (cough also Louis Vuitton cough) was an emerging trend of simplistic pattern play. Things like stripes and checkers were largely displayed on clothing ranging from dresses to crop tops. I loved the ambitious emerging trend of big black and white stripes.

Love the minimalist strap heel trend. Less is definitely more in this case.
To relate more to the borough I had to mention this T-Shirt from my dear friend / Brooklyn based photographer Jesse Deflorio. The eagle graphic stands as his company logo, you can check his pictures at http://www.jessedeflorio.com/ !

I was going to say some really cliche Brooklynite slang for goodbye but fuggedaboutitttt.
xx K
