Whiteout

I'm not talking about the lack of vitamin D in my skin, even though I should start to come to terms with it. White on white, the new black on black. It seems surreal to almost give up the completely black from head to toe New Yorker uniform, but shit does it feel so right. But why do we as city dwellers need the security of an all black ensemble? For fear of good ol' NYC dirt & scum stains? I do it too, I am a victim. There is definitely something alluring and mysterious about an all black outfit, but when summer time swings by, the pavement heat can really get to you.
Surprisingly enough, the hint of sunshine I've encountered this week allowed me to lighten up a bit. Flipping the switch and choosing white on white allowed me to play a little, while keeping a weird sort of elegance. So why not try it, as I stated before about the concerned paleness of my skin, it sure does compliment it in a way. Above is also a cameo (& pop of color) by my loyal clutch Mr. Pink, not to be confused with Steve Buscemi.
