Monday.

Sometimes, bad things happen and it happened to me just this past weekend. I feel like I’ve had the worst of luck lately, but I’m not trying to beat myself too hard on it. I’m not looking to gain anybody’s sympathy either, I just want to vent out my frustrations.

May 4th: I realized I’m bleeding due to reasons unknown, and it won’t stop. The blood isn’t thick, it is more of a translucent red color.

May 5th: I woke up with a sore throat. Yikes, I think I’m getting sick. Also, I’m still bleeding.

May 5th: Went out to see Tenacious D perform (very fun) and ate Korean BBQ (very good, but would’ve been more enjoyable if I didn’t have a sore throat) with the boyfriend. When we were on our way home, driving on the freeway on a rainy night, we nearly crashed into another car. The streets were slippery so when my boyfriend tried to press his brakes, his car kept on going and the steering wheels became locked . We were only about an inch or less from hitting another car.

May 6th (the icing on the cake): It’s Monday morning and it’s still raining a bit. I drove onto the freeway and as soon I merged, my car skidded to the side of the freeway. My car ended up spinning a 180 and ended up with two flat tires. I called 911 and they got a tow truck to get me and my car.

The tow truck driver gave me options on what I should do. After I asked him to clarify those options (since I was still shaken up and I’ve never been in this kind of situation before) he became impatient and acted pretty mean towards me.

He dropped me off at McDonalds so I can sit down and call my insurance to see if they’d cover for the towing. They didn’t, so I had to walk a mile to go the towing place where he dropped off my car.

This area is full of construction workers and truck drivers. I swear, I usually wear sneakers and a regular t-shirt and jeans, but not today…the one time I decide to wear a short little dress and an uncomfortable pair of boots was today. While my feet were hurting, the men looked at me and they definitely weren’t shy about it. Yuck.

Spent about two hours at the towing place. I got another towing truck to pick me and my car up to take me to a shop where they can fix my tires. This tow truck driver was soooo much nicer and sweeter than the first one.

Went to the tires shop, and learned that my car is, indeed, fucked up. Waited for 3-4 hours to get my car fixed so I can finally drive home.

It’s been eight hours and I’m finally home. Including the repairs and towing, I spent almost $1000. I also became sick when this all went down.

Kids, this is not how you start off a Monday.
