4th Month: Mama & Baby

LM enjoying a bath at Grandmommys!
Week 12. Little Man has been working towards rolling from his back to his stomach. He hasn't quite made it yet, but I think he's gettin' close. He loves 'talking' and making lots of noise. He is really enjoying the new mobile we were able to buy him using a gift card from a friend.

New toys for LM's play mat!
He is also loving the new toys I got for his play mat (yardsale!). Mama has been working on getting back in shape. That means doing an aerobics workout video, using my ab lounge, drinking lots of water, and trying to make healthier food choices. Workout Posts: Week 1, Week 2, Week 3, Week 4.

LM's 'praying hands'. He's done this ever since he was born.
Week 13. LM has been going through a fussy stage. He cries a lot, fights sleep, doesn't like being in his swing or play mat... Pretty much every time I turn around he is being fussy. It's been really frustrating, but hopefully this is a stage he'll outgrow soon! On a happier note, Little Man started laughing this week! It is the coolest thing ever! I am totally in love with his little laugh.

LM working on rolling from back to tummy. Not quite there yet.
Week 14. I think Little Man has found two fingers he prefers over all the others: first two on the left hand. He still will occasionally cram the first three fingers or the first two and his thumb, but he is consistent with the first two on his left hand now. For the mama: I've started noticing that hair loss has hit me. I can comb my fingers through my hair and a big hair ball will result when I'm finished. I don't like this one bit, but at least it's happening just before summer so maybe it will thin the thick mess out a bit.

He's getting so big! Here he is 'helping' me sew!
Week 15. This week I put away LM's size 0-3 month clothes and the 3 month clothes. He is now wearing all 3-6 months clothes. I didn't have a lot of these, but I have found a few cute onesies at walmart so we should be ok until we get to 6 months where I have TONS of stuff for him to wear.

Floor time with daddy. LM is rolled over but hasn't quite figured out how to get that other arm out of the way.
Little Man is getting super close to rolling from his back to his stomach. He's gotten really close, but hasn't rolled completely yet (see picture).

LM's first Easter!
LM celebrated his first Easter!! (more Easter photos to come in a later post.) He was a fussy boy that day and ended up sleeping through the Easter egg hunt, but we took pics of him in all the eggs once he woke up. Mama update: I started aiming to pump at least once a day so I can build up a little back supply in case it's needed. I'm still having hair loss. It's coming out in handfuls now. I seriously hope I don't go bald! (though I doubt I will.)

Week 16. (April 29th) LM is rolling from his back to his tummy!! He is also loves sitting up (still can't bring himself up from laying flat, but at an incline he can pull himself to a sitting position). We brought out the Joey Jump Up toy that hangs from the doorway for him to sit in and move around. He loves it! He is getting so big! He loves 'telling stories'. One of the most consistent is his 'sleepy story'. It's so precious hearing him tell his stories.

Holding up his blanket to me. LM has discovered he can move things if he gets a grip on it.
3rd Month Update Weight: 14lb. 3oz. Length: 23 3/4 inches Nicnkame(s): Little Man (obviously!), Punkin, Honey Bun, Mr. Blue Eyes. Loves: His elephant toy which I move from his swing to his play mat depending on where he is. Dislikes: Little Man fights nap time & night time almost every day right now.
A bonus photo:

LM has recently started sucking his thumb on the right hand.
Apparently he's not set to a certain finger group like I thought he had a few weeks ago.
