Brick wall and blue skies

How to wear the sweater you really really wanted to wear even though it is actually WAY too hot outside for even the lightest of sweaters. Part two.

This past NYFW made me push my sartorial limits a little bit further than usual (does that sentence actually make sense..? Let’s pretend it does, okay? ;)) You see, right before leaving for New York we spent a few weeks home in Switzerland and the weather was an absolute disaster. No kidding. It felt like fall already (even though it was still August) and I had even caught a cold by staying on the terrace a little too long on what I thought was one of the last summer nights we’d get.

This is kind of the mood I was in as I packed for Fashion Week, and then we arrived in New York and BAM, it was humid and hot and everyone was sweaty. In other words, all of those cute fall outfits I had planned were unwearable, which forced me to improvise and make do with what was at hand. Tying a sweater around my hips was one of my favorite tricks – what do you think about it?

— I’m wearing:
SKIRT: Lacoste (similar)
SWEATER: T by Alexander Wang (budget)
BAG: Stella McCartney via Monnier Frères
TOP: Mango (similar)
BOOTS: Diesel Black Gold (budget)
WATCH: Daniel Wellington

I spent the whole day packing for Fashion Week yesterday, and I'm not even done yet. Do I need to say more? ;) Okay, I'll say more.
