Party layering

Layering is something very important during the colder months, and party dressing is not an exception. I always find it hard to dress nice on every layer for a party – it’s either I have a nice look for inside and then I just throw my warmest, ugliest coat on it, or I have a lovely look to go outside, maybe to a Christmas market or a night time shopping session, and nothing really fancy underneath my coat. See what I mean?

Well for this look I tried to break this bad habit by creating an outfit that is versatile, that will look as good outside in the snow as it will inside, say by the fireplace, with a cup of hot tea. See my point?

Since there were so many textures in the look I tried to keep the color scheme down, playing with the materials in various versions of black and topping it all off with a pair of fancy, frou-frou sandals (which, by the way, I found at Outlet Aubonne for less than half their original price… perfect, pre-Holiday deal isn’t it?)

I actually bought them during the Late Night Shopping, a super cool event that’s held every first Friday of the month at Outlet Aubonne - the shops are open until 9 pm (which, believe me, is pretty out of the ordinary here in Switzerland ;)) and there are some extra discounts on a lot of pieces. I just love the concept, once again with the Holiday season approaching it’s hard to say no to such amazing deals!!

— I’m wearing a total look from Outlet Aubonne:
COAT: Liu Jo at Corso Italia
SKIRT: Rinascimento
JACKET: Rinascimento
SANDALS: Red Valentino at Corso Italia
