Spending Ban halfway update!

I posted last month to say that I was going on a spending ban it has been a whole month since then and I thought I would give you a little update on how it is going. As you may recall, I decided to cut out ANY form of spending that wasn't essential and I am doing so well, I haven't bought anything that I haven't definitely needed.

So this is what I have bought:

A new iPhone.
This may not be an essential to all, but unfortunately mine was stolen at the end of April which was really upsetting and it made me feel really vulnerable. I started having panic attacks about leaving the house without a phone, so after a week I bought a new one. I could have bought a cheaper phone, but I had a year left on my phone contract so shelling out for another iPhone seemed important to me. I call this an essential.

Shampoo and Conditioner.
This was a definite must as I ran out but I made sure that I bought the one on offer.

Acetone and nail hardener.
I needed acetone as I had gel nails on and then afterwards my nails went so soft that they were splitting below the nail bed- painful! so I decided that I was going to have to buy a treatment before they got worse.

That is it! I'm pretty proud of myself for going from spending an awful lot on beauty products, to spending under £20 on essentials. There is nothing that I should run out of this month either, brilliant.

I'm finding it so much easier than I thought I would as well, I thought that I would have a huge list of items that I wanted to buy but I actually don't want anything. I think I will definitely change the way that I shop in future as I have realised that I could probably go a long time without needing to buy anything at all.

Make sure you check out the blogs of the lovely ladies who are doing the ban with me: Sasha Natasha and Rachel. They are doing really well as well, so proud of all of us!

I'm also running a GIVEAWAY make sure you enter it!!
