five favourites | drugstore foundations

I've tried quite a lot of different foundations over the years, but find myself coming back to the same ones more often than not. I thought I'd start of by sharing my favourites that can be picked up on the high street from Boots or Superdrug.
I'll start with Revlon, my most-loved drugstore brand when it comes to makeup bases. The newest Revlon foundation I've tried is the Revlon Nearly Naked, which happened to make an appearance in my July Favourites. The reason I like this so much is because it provides good coverage without feeling heavy on my skin... hence the name Nearly Naked! As it's been really hot in the UK I've been reaching for this more often than not, in my opinion theres nothing worse than having thick makeup on when the sun is shining! Next up is Revlon PhotoReady, a foundation that reminds me of MAC Studio Fix. PhotoReady provides me with super smooth looking skin & helps to cover up imperfections really well. The final Revlon foundation I love is the Revlon Colorstay, I use this when my skin is playing up & producing more oil than usual. It helps to matify & control any shine, so I don't need to worry about my nose or chin looking shiny throughout the day!
I've used Rimmel foundations since I was about 14 & first started to wear makeup & I've tried every one of their foundations but the one that is my all time favourite is Rimmel Match Perfection. The shade 'Light Porcelain' is a perfect match for my pale complexion & it's super cheap too, at around £7!
Bourjois 1 2 3 Perfect is another foundation that has only just joined my collection, however it's up there in my favourites because other than the shade range, I've found no faults with it so far! I prefer to apply this with a buffing brush as the colour is a teeny bit dark for my skin tone so it needs quite a bit of blending. The reason I love this foundation is because of it's correcting pigments, yellow for dark circles, mauve for dull skin tones & green for redness. I never need to use concealer around my eyes when I wear this foundation as it hides my under eye circles so well! I haven't tried any other Bourjois base products yet, I actually wanted to pick up the Happy Light Foundation a while ago but my shade wasn't in stock so I opted for the 123 perfect instead.
