A Little Bit Lately

You can see my first, A Little Bit Lately post here to find out more about it. These have been inspired by Sometimes Sweet's Currently posts so check her out if you like it! Also please stop by But Why Mummy Why who has a wonderful 'Some Things I Love' linky.

Reading
My reading lately has been shocking, I have barely even picked up a book. However, to remedy this I have made a 'Book Jar' as seen on avid reader Plasticrosaries blog. The idea is to put all your unread books on slips of paper in a jar then pick them out when you need a book to read; I have 45 books in mine! Some of them are books I first picked up months ago and shamefully, have still not finished. My first book is The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath so I'll be making a start on that.

Watching
Last year we had no television or internet all through autumn and winter and I missed so many of my favourite shows. I am glued to Great British Bake Off and I also must confess to watching Strictly Come Dancing, although I'm not convinced about the line up this year. We have finally got Netflix and the first thing we have watched is Jonathan Creek, so nerdy, but I really want to start Breaking Bad or Dexter. I've heard good things about both but we have never got round to watching them.

Listening To
My mum bought me a record deck for my birthday and I have an EP of cover songs by Lissie I have loved listening too. Our friends have very kindly donated their old vinyl records to us and my husband has been eagerly making his way through them. Ash and Madness are the first ones to be pulled out but I secretly can't wait until we reach Fame!

Loving
Autumn is here and I love it. Last autumn was amazing; we had moved to a new house, I had just finished work, Lucas had started walking and we spent so much time at the park together. I am excited to dig out my winter boots and woolly hats and it always seem acceptable to stay in your pyjamas more. I have no idea why but I seem to be more productive in the autumn months; I do more reading and baking and last year I learnt to crochet so it seems right to pick that up again.

Thinking About
All the changes on the horizon for our little family. Lucas has been so good this week, so good that you can forget about all the bad days. He's been an absolute star and seems more affectionate that he has ever been before. Naturally this leads me to worry that when the babies arrive I will be turning his world upside down. I always knew I wanted more children but I am so worried about the change I am forcing upon him. I know that we will all have to cope and get on with it but when I see how happy he is at the moment I sometimes wonder if we are mad!
