I want to start this post by saying how much I LOVE this fabric. I am totally smitten with the designs from Lizzy House and think they work fabulously as dresses. I'm not really a cat person (though I am more cat than dog) but I have gone crazy for this range having made three dresses from it so far. Lizzy ran a catnap dress contest back in January and her
journey into dressmaking via baking is something I can really relate to. I only found out about the contest after it was all over and I had bought several of the prints unfortunately, I loved them so much I wanted to see what else I could get my hands on so did a bit of Googling. You can see the fabulous entries
here.
I wanted to make a green dress so I can add to my wardrobe rainbow and although it is a very dark green it is still green. I love how this one ties in the other prints too, there are
cats (obvs!),
catnip,
butterflies and
little mice. It's adorable! I couldn't wait to get my hands on this fabric, I called up The Running Chicken to add next day delivery to my order as I just wanted to get cracking on it. I really like
this colour way and
these butterflies but haven't been able to track them down in the UK yet, annoying.
