Alone in Amsterdam…

Good Morning, Amsterdam!

I always wanted to visit a city, completely alone. No offense, I love my friends and would go everywhere with them. But do you know how easy and relaxed it is to go on vacation and be able to really just do what you want?
I got the possibility to finally just do it, because Amsterdam’s Renaissance Hotel invited me over for a very special evening, with a Lucy Rose concert. They asked me to stay over the weekend and fly back Sunday, which obviously I did.
Friday night I decided to have a drink somewhere and just walk around the city. I came back to the Hotel at 4am, my feet hurt but I was happy. Saturday I decided to party at night. I went to NYX, which is actually pretty good party advice, if you ever are in Amsterdam and don’t know where to go. (Just as I felt before meeting these three super funny dutch guys.)
If you ever actually go on vacation alone, don’t be shy. Talk to people, go to bars, restaurants, cafés.. so many people are actually really friendly and up for meeting new faces, as well. And I know, everybody always keeps saying that you should pay attention and that it’s dangerous outside. But actually, there are many people out there who are open-minded, interesting and most of all friendly (as well).

Thanks to the Renaissance Hotel for this amazing experience! I’d be in again, anytime soon!

Never leave a foreign country, without checking out the supermarket.
