Let’s get this day over. K, thanks.

Tomorrow Bam goes in for surgery.

I’m feeling optimistic and as positive as I can be right now. I am also realistic the news could go the other way. When it comes to life in general, I’m a straight shooter. Sugarcoating bad news is just going to piss me off.

So instead of being sad/worried/thinking the worst about my little fur child, (seriously, when did I become this crazy dog lady?) I decided to put my energy into showing him a good time. I mean, it’s not even like he really knows what’s going to happen tomorrow, but still. Plus seeing him happy makes me so incredibly happy.

What better place than head to the beach on a warm, sunny day!? Am I right.

We took our time exploring. In Bam’s case, sniffing dead crabs, pulling the leash to run in the waves and peeing on seaweed sounded like a great time.

The picture below was taken .2 seconds before a huge wave came and we got soaked in ocean water while running to shore laughing like a little kid. Our kinda fun!

We explored some more and took an ocean bubble bath. Bam highly recommends rolling around in the warm sand right after. Especially if you’re clean.

I’m not sure if it’s the time of year, but the waves are crashing hard lately. I can actually hear them when our bedroom window is open in the middle of the night. File that under #awesomereasonswhyicantsleep

And yes, this is real life. No filters or editing at all.

Then we came home for baths and some treats to ruin our appetites before dinner. Another thing Bam highly recommends.

Most of all we LIVED. And now we are going grab that bull by the horns, deal and move on, while thinking some great is about to happen.

Fingers and paws crossed this is over soon and our buddy will be back to living like somebody left the gate open, C word free.

No Mike, the other C word.
