Delight of the Day 8/14

You may have seen on my Instagram that I finally took the plunge and ordered a Burberry quilted jacket. I’ve been obsessed for quite some time now, and I decided I needed to reward myself after my midyear review. You can order them from a couple of different places: Neiman, Nordstrom, and Burberry, all at $595.

However, after ordering, an idea occurred to me: the children’s sizes (priced at $220) would also probably work. For reference: I ordered an extra small in the Burberry women’s jacket, which fits extremely similar to the size 14 in girl’s. (I have broad shoulders, so the 12 was slightly too tight there for me.) I’m probably going to have it tailored a bit for a slimmer fit, but, with the amount of money I’m saving, $50 at the tailor is nothing.

Nordstrom carries the black version through a size 12 (make sure you select Big Girls). If Neiman is your store, they also carry it in black, but only up to a size 10. (They currently have a $50 off promo with code KIDSGIFT!) Burberry goes all the way to a 14, and they sell black, red, and navy, so that’s where I ended up ordering. Now, let’s enjoy the last few weeks of summer so we can wear our coats sooner!
