Royal Care Cosmetics Synthetic Kabuki Brushes: First Impressions

I’m somewhat pressed for time this week, with all of the laundry and packing that I have to do, but I wanted to squeeze in this last brush review for all of you! This is the third and final First Impressions, for now, of all the brushes that I purchased in the last month!

Today, we’re talking about the Royal Care Cosmetics Kabuki Brushes! These kabukis are sold in two different sets- the Premium 4 Piece Synthetic Kabuki Makeup Brush Set and the 4 Piece Face Synthetic brush set. I purchased both sets for a total of $25.60 shipping and handling. It was such a steal! Let’s dive right into the brushes…

Both sets come with an angled, flat, rounded and pointed kabuki as you can see in the pictures below. Upon opening these, thankfully, I wasn’t hit with the strong strong smell of plastic. They did come wrapped in a variety of different sized bubble wraps, which kept me occupied for a good 15 minutes.

These brushes are extremely soft and fluffy and have just the right amount of density to them. I’ve already put them to work! I used both sets this weekend while doing makeup for two different photo shoots. There was no shedding during use or while washing them. The larger kabukis are amazing for applying foundation as well as setting powders and bronzers. I actually had a client comment on how soft the rounded kabuki that I used on her was. The smaller kabukis were used for concealer as well as eye shadow. You can really use them however you want though. Needless to say, I’m going to be purchasing another set of both for my own personal use.

The question of the hour, of course, is: How do they compare to the very, very, similar Sigma Kabuki brushes? They are extremely similar not only in the quality, but how well they apply makeup! I would suggest these to someone that is eyeing the Sigma kabukis, but can’t afford to shell out the $131.00 shipping for their set. The Sigma set does come with 10 brushes, while the Royal Care Cosmetics set only has 8. The only difference that I’ve noticed is that the Royal Care brushes are a bit fluffier than the Sigma ones, which I actually like. I like my brushes to move around a bit, not too much, but just enough…which these do!

I highly recommend anyone looking for new brushes to check these out! Out of all three sets that I’ve purchased, these are my absolute favorite! They are perfect to throw in your kit as well, if you’re a makeup artist, but they’re great for everyday personal use as well!
