NAUTICAL

This week has been extremely stressful; I've had seven exams and five of which were on the same day. On Tuesday I had an English and Geography exam, followed by three Japanese (listening, reading and writing) exams, a Physics and an Additional Maths exam on Wednesday. So yes, it's fair to say I've been immensely busy with studying. However, thankfully, I only have four more exams to go until I'm free for the summer! Hooray!

Yesterday, I went over to my friend Rachel's house for a revision session in her garden. It was nice to sit out in the sun and relax and enjoy it, without feeling guilty from neglecting my studies. Whilst Rachel was rummaging through her garage - she's a pro procrastinator and is so very easily distracted - she found some old records that belonged to her dad and a record player too! We were both extremely excited, and so got it out and played some songs. Unfortunately, The Beatles' records didn't work on this particular player but there were plenty of others to enjoy.
Despite studying (well for a small part of the morning anyway because yes, Rachel's distractions got to me too), we also got a chance to take a few quick happy snaps, as shown above. Rachel is really interested in photography (follow her Tumblr here) and so I pranced around her garden for a while whilst she snapped away. All the photos above are taken by her which is super cool. I feel that my outfit screams 'nautical' as I'm wearing a striped, navy and white dress from Mango that I pulled out the back of my closet from a couple of years ago - don't you just love finding old treasures? - and a straw hat that belongs to Rachel.

I hope you're having a less stressful week than I am. If you are - just remember to take some time out even if it's just for a few minutes! The key is to keep your end goal in sight and you'll be just fine. Also, don't forget to follow my twitter @AbsolutelySX!
