REVIEW // Body Shop Tea Tree Pore Minimiser & Night Lotion

A few months ago, my mom bought me these two products from the Body Shop as they were having some sort of offer. I think it was a 3 for 2 offer (she had third product) but I can't be too sure. Since then, I have been using them fairly regularly and have been liking some of the results shown!

1) PORE MINIMISER: I apply this in the mornings after my shower and throughout the day, it really does help keep my pores to a minimum size which prevents breakouts. This product also claims to 'instantly' mattify your skin and I feel that it does this. However, as a result it can be slightly drying and so I would recommend using a light, oil free moisturiser on top to keep your skin hydrated, as well as maintaining that matt finish. I don't use this product to prime my skin but, from the consistency, I can imagine it to work fairly well. Overall, this product also has an extremely simple application in which you squeeze it out its tube.

As I've said before, I've had this product for a few months now and it has only just starting to show signs of running out. This is probably due to the fact that I don't use it religiously and so I guess how quickly it runs out will depend on how much you use.

I would give the Tea Tree Pore Minimiser a rating of three stars as I feel it does the job to an average standard. However, it's not completely brilliant and can be a little drying. At a retail price of £7.50, I think it's a bit pricey for only 30 ml, especially as I have other products which prevent breakouts at an equally good standard (if not more) and so will I probably won't be repurchasing this product.

2) BLEMISH FADE NIGHT LOTION: I apply between one and a half to two pumps of this night lotion at night after either a bath/shower or just washing my face, mostly concentrating on the problem areas. It does give noticeable overnight results and definitely lives up to its claim of improving the appearance of 'blemish-damaged skin'. This product has a the consistency of a typical moisturiser and does not feel sticky or greasy on your face; it instantly soaks into your skin which I love.

Similarly to the pore minimiser, I only use this product when absolutely necessary and so I haven't been very religious about it. For this reason, I can't really tell you on how long it will last as it'll really depend on how often you use it. If you were to use it quite often though, I can imagine it lasting for a little while as products with a pump tend to normally last longer and you don't really need to put on an awful lot. My bottle is still quite full after having it for a few months.

Although the Tea Tree Night Lotion sells at £9 for a 30 ml bottle, making it even pricier than the pore minimiser, I think it is a slightly better product for me. Having said that, I do also have considerably cheaper products that could replace it so I don't think a repurchase would be necessary. Overall, I would give this product 3 and a half stars.

The pore minimiser and night lotion work extremely well together as well as individually, showing good results. They are made of mainly natural ingredients and so aren't very harsh on my sensitive skin.

Thank you for sticking with me and I am extremely sorry for zero posts for three weeks! I've had a lot of technical difficulties which are still trying to be sorted out but luckily, nothing affected this post.

This is my first product review so please let me know how I did in the comments and if there could be any improvements. If you would like further information or clarity, please tweet me @AbsolutelySX or just comment below and I promise to reply to any questions!
