What She Wore// polka-dots and converse

Hey loves! If you've read my blog at all really or follow me on Instagram you've probably seen this girl a few times, but I've decided that it would be fun to start letting my family take some of the spotlight here on my blog just a bit more. Also I wanted to sort of re-introduce my kiddos here since I get so many questions about them, and I felt this little 'outfit' with Sophie(Sophia) would be perfect to start. Firstly though, I know I'm biased, but Isn't she a little doll? haha She is the most photogenic out of all my kids, and is so natural in front of the camera, needed little to no direction, and I loved every minute of our little shoot together. Here she is:
As for a little intro: Sophia is our second child, middle of three girls, and is just two years old right now though she'll be three next month. She looks the most like my photos at that age out of any of our kids, though her personality is closer to her dads, which may be because they share the same birthday!
She was our first home-birth, and she came 6 days early after about 70 hours of labor( insert tired moan at the thought of it.haha). She was also our first and only baby that we chose to be surprised about the gender(I didn't have the patience to do it again.haha) I was certain that she would be a boy, but I think that now it may be because she's a bit of a tomboy:) Even though it was very intense and long, it was such a huge contrast to our first birth with Ellie in the hospital(which also had been natural so, very easy to compare), and we knew that we'd have to have the rest of our babies the same way.
She has the sweetest way of talking, she loves to color, has an eye for tiny details, is very sensitive to others feelings and is so polite in everything she does. She's also very easily occupied and has such a calm nature that she can sit for hours at one activity if left alone. She's a huge helper with chores, also she is such a healthy eater and loves to fill up on extra helpings of especially nutritious meals and then will often refuse any dessert.haha So funny for a little kid!
Also she loves slapstick humor and will giggle so contagiously at the clumsy movie character.haha I love it! So basically she's pretty nearly perfect.haha except when something isn't going her way her first instinct is to yell at the top of her lungs till it's fixed, also she couldn't be bothered with potty training yet, but we're working on those last two:)
beanie - topshop // dress - thrifted // tights - macy's // converse - thrifted // bunny - walmart One of my favorite things about her is that she's really the only one that will come up and just snuggle with me for no reason. One thing that I hope to work on with her is more one on one time. She's always with her older sister in everything they do, and while they love each other and get along great (most the time:)) I'm trying to take more moments now that she's getting older and really talk to her on her own and do things with her just the two of us. It's always so fun and sort of surreal that she's so grown up.
Well thanks so much for reading if you got this far:) There are many topics I want to address to answer your questions about home and family so feel free to ask anything anytime, and I'll be back soon with more in-depth thoughts and ideas to share with you. Have a great day, and be sure and stop back in tomorrow! xo, Emily facebookinstagramyoutubetwitterpinterestrssbloglovin
