Lucky In Love Pin

Several of you asked a while back if I could show how to make a four leaf clover and shamrock using my One Round Hearts pattern. Consider it done! These festive pins can be made using three hearts for a shamrock, or four hearts to make a lucky four leaf clover. I added a coconut wood button for a bit of rustic texture, and pinned mine to a tweedy coat...fabulous!

Here's what you'll need:
  • Three or four One Round Hearts (yarn pictured is Lion Brand's Vanna's Choice in "Kelly Green" and hearts were made using a 5 mm crochet hook)
  • One button
  • A tapestry needle
  • Pin backing or safety pin

Begin by crocheting 3 or 4 hearts...depending on how many you'd like. I used Lion Brand Vanna's Choice in "Kelly Green" and an H (5.0 mm) hook. Weave in all ends.
Next, using a piece of the same yarn and a tapestry needle, seam the hearts together as shown below:

Add the button to top it off and sew a pin backing or safety pin to the back. I was able to use the same yarn/tapestry needle and it fit through the holes in the pin backing nicely.

Weave in any ends that remain and you're ready for a little good luck on your lapel!
