The National Council for Culture, Arts, and Letters presents "Kuwait Through the Ages"

The National Council for Culture, Arts, and Letters hosted the international symposium titled "Kuwait through the Ages" that took place at the Kuwait National Library March 4-6, 2014.
The symposium aimed at shedding light on the major archaeological discoveries in Failaka Island, north of kuwait (by Kuwait Bay) and Kuwait City from 1957-2014.
Archaeologists from Kuwait, Denmark, UK, Poland, Slovakia, France, Greece, Italy, and Egypt presented their findings and discoveries of ancient civilizations that lived thousands of years ago in Kuwait (Bronze, Helinistic, Islamic, etc.). The preliminary issue of including Failaka in the World Heritage Site was discussed along with the necessary plans for such qualifications.
In addition, presentations from Omani, Qatari, Emirati, Bahraini, and Saudi archaeologists focused on similar findings in their respective countries. A common ground was the Dilmon civilization.

We were very lucky to have the rare opportunity to see the Kuwait National Library and attend such a unique archaeological event.
