diy anthropologie plastic bag holder

If you're like me, you have a bunch of plastic bags crammed into a kitchen drawer. It's unsightly and the bags are always getting stuck on the sides and back of the drawer. This Anthropologie bag is a great way to corral your plastic bags and finally free up that drawer in the kitchen!
Supplies-
  • Woven fabric (cotton or linen) 1/4 of a yard
  • Elastic (1/2 inch wide, 7 inches)

(Cut the fabric into a 19 inch by 9 inch rectangle. Using an iron, fold down the shorter sides 1 inch)

(Fold the bag over- right sides together and sew the long sides together)

(Turn the bag right side out and stitch down the top fold. Cut small slits so you can string the drawstring through)

(Cut a piece of fabric that measures 1 1/2 inches wide and 23 inches long . Using an iron, press edges towards each other)

(Fold the fabric over, iron down and topstitch in place)

(Using a safety pin feed the drawstring through the casing and knot the ends)

(Stitch down the bottom hem leaving a small opening to feed the elastic through. Insert the elastic, sew it together and then sew the seam shut)
