I’m Helping Essence Magazine to Empower U

A recent log on to Essence.com and you may have seen a pop up video with yours truly highlighting fashion needs to “Empower U” for the upcoming Essence Festival. If not then, let this serve as an announcement and run over to the site AFTER you read the details on my good news.

I’ve yet to see the pop up videos on Essence.com myself but the flood of sitings coming through my twitter timeline prove it’s real. It’s all in anticipation of the 20th annual Essence Festival- hosting over 400,000 people in New Orleans it’s the largest event celebrating African-American culture and music in the US. It all takes place July 4th weekend. It’s a fun filled weekend full of music, fashion, celebrity meet & greets, panel discussions and soo much more. With the goal to Empower You in mind, Essence has a series of actives and workshops scheduled for the weekend. I hosted 3 promo videos for the magazine highlighting fashion & style tips for the event. I’ve yet to figure out the algorithm for the videos that pop up randomly on the site but here’s 1 of the 3 video highlighting 5 things you need for a complete head to heel look this summer.

I’ll also be on site at the Empower U Live Experience at the Essence Festival giving style consultation and helping with fashion solutions for every body type and tips to shop smarter. I’m so excited to be contributing to the Essence team and backing my bags to attend the event for the first time ever. Of course I’ll be posting about my journey along the way & sharing my insight with you Kuties. There are two more videos which I will post leading up to the festival along with shopping suggestions for each one, so check back here often.
