Zappos Secret Santa
There’s a talent to gift giving. I’ve been told that I possess said talent and give really good gifts. I won’t debate that but I will agree that it’s a skill. Zappos put those skills to the test this season with their own Zappos Secret Santa pairing bloggers together for a gift exchange. Luckily I received my blogger boo Marie of The Curvy Fashionista.
I was so happy I was assigned someone I know for Zappos Secret Santa.It makes the gift giving process so much easier although this gift exchange wasn’t a complete smooth sailing. Marie and I have only met once- this past summer during Essence Fest – but primarily we know each other from online and these blogger streets. When Zappos told me Marie was my person I started racking my brain and combing through her instagram for clues on her interest. The key to great gift gifting is listening and taking stock of the person you’re gifting and then personalizing it.
I knew Marie is a girly girl like me and loves dresses and femininity so I knew she would appreciate a great dress which zappos has a load of. From the looks of Marie’s instagram she likes A Line dresses and this print one looked like it would fit perfectly into her kloset.
To help find a style to fit her curves I headed to Zappos Plus size section. It’s one of several “departments” on Zappos which helps me zone into what I’m looking for when I’m shopping the site. While I was there i picked out a couple other pieces for Marie that I thought would look super kute on her.
The blouse just seemed like a great separate to have since it could works with so much-pants,jeans, skirts etc. Because I knew Marie recently made the move from sunny LA to not so warm ATL (remember that thing I said about listening) I knew she would need a coat. This red and black plaid one felt on trend and just right for her new lifestyle.
One of the things I love about Zappos is that it’s a one stop shop. In addition to the obvisou clothes and shoes they have an awesome beauty department. Whenever I shop the site I inevitably throw in a beauty item or two and couldn’t help but do the same thing when shopping for Marie. I picked out this deborah lippmann polish set. It’s so cute and chic plus polish is one of those things you always need and want but never really want to buy. This polish and sequin gift set alone makes a great gift.
Those pieces alone make for a great gift but because Zappo offers free shipping both ways there was a little more money in the budget so I picked out one more item. Mu final select in the Zappos Secret Santa had a personal touch with something I love and thought Marie would enjoy too. You know as of late I’m in to these statement bags and wanted to find one to compliment Marie and her personality. I’d say this fab one is a perfect fit. I love that it’s two sided and provides more than one way to wear it.
All in all I got five pieces for Marie in the Zappos Secret Santa that ran a full range of fashion and beauty. Thats pretty darn good if you ask me.
