30 Plus Style and Beauty Link Up
Today I’m shining the spot light on a fabulous 30 Plus Style and Beauty Blogger. Kim-Marie from Kimba Likes has been one of my good friends since we met at Blogopolis in 2012. I love her risk taking style choices and her selfies never fail to make me smile. Kimba Likes is also the hostess of the great Wednesday Wardrobe Link up party.
Talking to Kimba Likes
1. How would your friends or family describe your style?
I asked the Blokefolk and received the words Mad from the Welshman and Creepy from Boyo. Thanks chaps. They expanded to say confident, unique, individual, cute. Much better! #lifewithboys. The Gorgeous Girls came to the rescue and said fun, frivolous, feminine with vintage sass. Vintage glam with a twist, fun femme fatale chic. One of the Delightful Daughters said explosively colourful. I knew there was a reason they are my BFFs. My gorgeous SIL said classy boho, with a fusion of retro and modern. Told you she was gorgeous!
2. What do you have no power to resist and probably own too much of?
Um, everything! Shoes, bags, jeans, cardigans, polka dots, black and white stripes, retro cute dresses, vintage souvenir scarves, vintage bone china teacups and saucers, bunny rabbit decor, nail polish, jewellery, lipstick and lipgloss …
3. What are three things you would never be caught wearing?
Ugg boots in public, no makeup and head to toe black (not even for funerals).
4. When did you start to feel most comfortable with your style?
My mother tells a tale that apparently I refused to wear anything except dresses and preferably pink dresses before I was one year old. I think I’ve always been fairly comfortable with my style. Not looking like everyone else has been important to me for most of my life.
5. What advice would you give to your 16 year old self?
Do not agree to be a hair model. One day, eventually, you will get boobs. They will be worth the wait. Just because you don’t need to study to pass your exams doesn’t mean you shouldn’t study.
