Men of New York, You Are Not David Beckham

This is my favorite week of the year – my birthday week! It is not until Saturday so that means I get to spend the whole week thinking about it! and I will start it off with one of my favorite things, attractive men. If I have said it before, I will say it again, dating in New York City certainly is interesting. When a guy picks a spot either for coffee, dinner, or drinks I always go thorough the what-should-I-wear dilemma but it usually helps if I Google the place to see how fancy it is. Understand where we are going usually helps me gauge the type of attire but guys, or at least a few I have been on dates with, do not seem to do this. I have been incredibly overdressed or unbelievably under dressed compared to the man sitting across the table from me in the past few months.

And that said, some looks do not work on certain guys – beanies and jerseys are not meant for fancy Saturday night dinners and three piece suits look ridiculously out of place at low-key sushi restaurants on Tuesdays. I do have to say though, there is one guy who could wear absolutely anything on a date and I would be over the moon. Sure he has a beautiful wife and four gorgeous children but David Beckham can pull off literally any look:

Leather Jacket

Sharp Suit

Soccer Jersey

Tie Clip and Pocket Square

Jeans and Sneakers

Tuxedo

And just beacuse, shirtless

So David, or a David Beckham look alike, if you want to show up on my next date I would be more than pleased and you can wear whatever you want. Until then, men of New York, please figure out your wardrobe. Thanks!
