Pop Up Shoe Shop Party!

Starting this Wednesday, we will be hosting our first Pop Up shop both in our store front and online! We've partnered with Uxibal to bring you beautiful Summer and Fall shoes for a limited time only starting with a Pop Up shop party in our store front in Seattle, WA this Wednesday from 5-8pm!
We're located at 2523 3rd Ave, Seattle WA 98121

For those of you outside of Seattle, we have made this pop up shop available online as well. Starting Wednesday, Uxibal's beautiful line of shoes will be available online for purchase for two weeks. So be sure to stop by our online store or our store font over the next two weeks to grab a pair of Uxibal shoes before they are gone!

Guatemala is a traditionally male-dominated culture, and for women, especially those of indigenous Mayan descent, daily life is a struggle. Limited access to education, marriage at a young age, and high birth rates are all contributing factors to women's disadvantaged position in this rural Central American country. On top of this, domestic violence, sexual assault, rape and frequent cases of kidnapping and murder, make Guatemala the most dangerous country for women in all of Latin America, according to the Guatemalan Human Rights Campaign.
Uxibal is attempting to change this cycle. By giving these women financial security, they have the power to control their lives and leave their abusive husbands, send their daughters to school, or afford contraceptives. They are creating a market-driven solution to improve the quality of life for women through the non-traditional method of fashion. And as a team at Moorea Seal, we love that mission.
