Florida Bound

The day is finally here. Our bags are packed, Passports at the ready and the tickets are booked. Tomorrow I am off to Florida for 17 days with my family. I have been looking forward to this trip for about a year now, and excited doesn't come close! We have been to Florida about 11 times, and it still doesnt get old. Its like a second home to us now, we know the best places to eat, the nicest hotels and we don't look like tourist wondering around with those lost looks on our faces - we know it all pretty well.
My plan for these next to weeks are to do nothing but shop, get lost in my books, eat good food and of course have my camera by my side every second. I am going to finally try out its filming feature, and I have an idea of a 'vlog' style video I want to do for you guys, so in a way you get to come on holiday with me and see what I get up too. So sadly, there wont be any DIY's on the blog for a few weeks, but you have some interesting posts to look forward too (and don't worry, I have a ton of DIY's in store for when I get back)

We are going to our 3 favourite destinations in Florida, Sarasota, Orlando and St. Petersburg. Sarasota is a quite little town on the sea filled with cute little shops and restaurants and the most amazing sweet shop known to mankind, Oh I can almost smell the sweet, sticky caramel from here. Of course in Orlando we will be staying at Universal Studios Resort in the beautiful Italian inspired hotel Portofino Bay. We will be spending time in Universal with some of our neighbours, going on every ride I can get away with, getting lost down International drive, probably playing a cheeky game of mini golf and shopping at some of the most incredible malls in the States. St. Petes is practically home to us, situated on the coast our favourite hotel, the Don Cesar is practically unmissable painted a gorgeous shade of Coral. Built in 1924, the Don Cesar or otherwise known as the pink lady is supposedly haunted and has a wonderful history. Forget about the fine dining restaurant, their grilled cheese sandwiches are freaking amazing! You can't beat sitting on the beach with the dolphins swimming past, the sun beating down on your and biting into this incredible creation.

Im going to be doing indepth posts on all of the places I visit, along with hauls and my first ever vlog filmed with my DSLR! So many exciting posts to come, and my holiday officially starts tomorrow! I have a pretty early start tomorrow heading up to gatwick airport. The next time I speak to you I will be in America!
See you there xo
