André Leon Talley Has Big Projects In The Works

With André Leon Talley now a free agent since leaving Vogue, it was only a matter of time before the offers starting coming in and by the sounds of it, they’re coming thick and fast.

After leaving the magazine last year he was announced as Numéro Russia’s editor-at-large, which, while being the same role as he had at Vogue, seems to afford him more freedom and space to work with other brands. Recently he was announced as the new artistic director at Zappos and a piece in WWD on Friday touched on the fact that Talley is “in talks with a variety of luxury brands in various sectors about future creative director roles for his client.”

Fashionista contacted his agent, Marc Beckman, to clarify what kind of projects those are and while he didn’t go into specifics, he did tell the website that they were in “several conversations” with “several companies” both in and outside the fashion industry about potential creative direction roles so watch this space.
