André Leon Talley Has Already Stepped Down From His Role At Numéro Russia

It’s been a year since André Leon Talley left his editor-at-large role at Vogue to take the same position at Numéro Russia but now, after only 12 issues, Talley has resigned, a decision he says was “mutually agreed upon” between himself and the magazine’s publisher Alexander Fedotov.

His decision to leave Vogue was big news. Talley had been there for 30 years and having been there for so long, explained how he felt like he’d hit a “glass ceiling” at the glossy. With him joining Numéro Russia from the beginning – it launched last March – the job seemed like a great opportunity but it seems like his attention is now shifting towards those lucrative creative director roles his agent spoke about earlier this month. Team that with his new artistic director position at Zappos Couture and it sounds like the future still looks bright for him.
