Great Gingham

Top, Antipodium. Skirt, Bianca Spender. Bag, Prada. Shoes, Marc Jacobs.

I find it pretty convenient when a trend comes around that I've already been embracing for years. Not only does it make me look more normal in public (wearing gingham head-to-toe can be a bit confronting), but it also means I'm easily able to stock up on more pretty pieces to add to my collection. So thank goodness gingham is back with a vengeance!

If you've been following my style for a while you'll know I own multiple checked pieces (Aqua ASOS pants and this Antipodium dress are among my all time favourites), but alas a skirt was not in the mix… until I found this Bianca Spender style. Possibly one of my favourite pieces I have on rotation for spring, it's been tempting to wear it every second day, considering it is the perfect match for most of the existing pieces in my wardrobe (The super-flattering cut doesn't hurt either). If you haven't already adopted this trend I highly recommend you give it a go. Luckily high street labels are flooded with gingham styles too so it needn't cost the earth.
