Nutrition Boost

Hey, lovely Haute|31 readers! As I type, I am currently on a juice cleanse. This is my fourth juice cleanse and it gets easier and easier each time. As of today I am on six days and going strong! I’m not even gonna lie – the first time I thought I was going to die! I was so hungry, headachy, and irritated, that the 3rd day couldn’t come quickly enough so I could break the cleanse! The next time I did it, I actually wasn’t so hungry, and got through it well. This time is really great! I have good energy, I’m not hungry at all, and I’ve even lost 6.5 pounds in 3 days, though I won’t rejoice too much since it’s probably all water weight thus far.

When I cleanse, I surround myself with information to remind me why I do what I do. I tend to sip my juice and watch a foodie documentary or twelve and arm myself with information. Not only is it a cleanse for my body, but I remind myself why I make (or at least try very hard to make) right choices with eating.

Another enlightening documentary that I saw in my high school health class is Super Size Me.

Sure, they’re documentaries, but are all done in an attention keeping style (for the most part.) There were times I couldn’t watch the entire thing in one sitting, but picked up a day or two later. Bonus! They’re all free on Netflix and/or Hulu. Check them out and let me know what you think!
