Black nails. If there is one colour that connotes rebellion, it’s black. Black is the result of light being absorbed, so in its purest form it’s the absence of colour. In fashion, black is associated with elegance and style. In colour psychology black is attributed to the hidden and the unknown. This color gives protection from external emotional stress by creating a barrier between itself and the outside world.

If that all sounds a bit morbid, black is also the colour of rock’n'roll! Plus, style icons like Kate Moss and Victoria Beckham, both favor black for their nails.
